We had the absolute pleasure of photographing and filming Sophie + Jacks wedding at the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton manor , which is a gorgeous venue! It is tucked away behind the trees and the marquee is placed right by the lake which you can also have a boat ride on. It really is a magical venue!
There was something very special about this wedding - it had an unbelievable story behind how Sophie + Jack fell in love which is something that been happening throughout the generations of their family, both Sophie + Jacks grandparents met through a club they were part of , this then was the start of something amazing , Sophie + jacks parents then met through their grandparents and so Sophie + Jack grew up together as close friends then eventually realised they were each others soulmate. What an incredible love story. The whole day felt very intimate despite it being a big wedding with a lot of guests, everyone knew eahcother so well, it was like one huge family gathering , the atmosphere was just so lovely and everyone made us feel so welcome!
Although it was a late December wedding, the weather was actually gorgeous, we love the light from winter sun, its really glowy and soft.
We started shooting at Jacks parents house first to get groom shots and all his groomsmen , then went to Sophie and the bridesmaids who were getting ready at her parents. Both houses had lots of light which is perfect for prep shots! We loved Sophies dress which was simple ,feminine, elegant and was perfect for her lovely petite frame, it almost reminded me a little of Meghan markles wedding look.
The ceremony then took place at St Georges church, which was so lovely and included Sophies pupils singing for the guests, they were adorable and went down a storm!
The reception was then held at The Lakeside marquee at Thornton manor, which as we mentioned before was an amazing venue, the staff were really great too! Sophie + jack had had the marquee decorated with little Christmas trees it looked beautiful! All the venue dressing for this wedding was gorgeous - with a little hint of Christmas but not too much.
Although it was pretty cold we still managed to get dreamy couple shots, ( thank you Sophie + jack for braving the cold) what a gorgeous couple they are, and really are beautiful on the inside, they were so chilled out all day, and were just so lovely to be around.
The evening was brilliant with an incredible first dance and saxaphonist and band were brilliant, theres just something about having a band at your wedding that just seems to keeps everyone dancing!
Sophie + Jack thank you so much fr choosing us to be part of your day , from our first meeting we knew we was going to love capturing your day! you made us feel so welcome as well as your lovely family and friends , hope you enjoy your previews and your film and all collection will be ready soon !
